Change

Change is something that growing up was always something that I looked for in myself. I wanted to better what I already had and what I wanted my future to look like, never staying in the present, going back to the past and looking for change in the future. I wanted to change in ways that would make myself better- to be a better person, to look prettier, to be the best at something, to try something new, to add to what I was then to make myself more acceptable in society.

The fact is though, like in Luke 12:27, "Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin." The flowers rely on God to provide the needs they must have in order to grow and bloom. They need water, sunlight, air, nutrients, and food to aid their growth, reproduction, and futures, yet they do not grow anxiously waiting on what comes next. In order to change from a seedling into a blooming flower, these plants must go through stages with God's help.

It is not bad to change, yet it is good. To change oneself, one must change their habits, perspective, and viewpoints. Proverbs chapter 3:4-5 states, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understandings; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

To fully change your heart, perspective, and viewpoint, give everything to God. He will lead the way, He will bring great changes to life and He will provide. He provided seeds to grow flowers, water to nourish their roots, sunlight to aid their growth, and beautiful people to enjoy them.

Growing up, I didn't see myself as a flower farmer, but as a teacher in a classroom. I one day hope to be a mother, just as then I hoped to be a wife. That changed as I emersed myself fully into growing flowers, composing arrangements, and educating others about the beauty of farming and life. Life changes in all ways, we must learn how to accept the changes to better ourselves in positive ways, turning to God in need of help, praise, and thanksgiving. Change is a good thing, if we allow it. Change is beautiful.
