An entire bouquet is an experience; creation of life, gifted by God. Once started as a tiny seed, sprouted life of green and into a magnificent creation, handcrafted into perfection by our God and presented to us to show true beauty. After the flower is done blooming, the fruits are established and ready to harvest, and within the fruits, seeds for the journey to begin again. A reminder to live in the present, take in the moment, and be grateful for the life we are given. Something we can share with others, an offering of happiness, knowing that we share amongst each other God’s work of art through memory of past loved ones, celebration of what’s to come, and the reminder of what is here now. My name is Audrey Schneider, and I am a flower farmer and artist in the floral industry. I moved to Faith Lutheran in March and through confirmation became a member of the church and of the faith. On May 17th, I married my best friend, Kurtis Schneider and we began our life together, forever. We built a rock garden together to grow my favorite flowers up by the house and I now occupy half of the garden to grow the rest of my flowers. I have created many arrangements for different events including baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, graduation parties, farmer’s markets and custom events. I am grateful for the ability to share my arrangements with all of you weekly behind the altar, at the foot of the cross, for the one who created the flowers we get to enjoy in our presence. From Luke 12:27, Jesus spoke to his disciples, “Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” Live in the present, do not worry about the past nor the future, for like the wildflowers, God is in control, and He wraps His loving arounds around us and holds us tight.
